Shaker Mantle Clock PLANS

This very elegant clock was built in Toronto in 1970. It has adorned a number of mantles and now graces a hand made wall unit in the den. In 1997 it was refitted from its original electric clock movement to a quartz movement. The Shaker design endures as a conservative and simple approach to elegance with simple joinery as well as straight line profiles that are all easily made on your table saw. The face turnings were actually simple store bought spindles that were sliced in half. The mantle clock is made of solid pine with a walnut finish, however you can make your model out of oak, cherry or any wood common to your area.

The Shaker Mantle Clock PLANS feature:

Solid wood construction
Use of store-bought mouldings
Hinged clock face cover with glass
Design with impressive presence
Small built-up solid panels
Full size 8″ clock face template

Bonus: Included in the plans are instructions on how to make a secret rear storage chamber

The finished clock is approximately

13.5″ wide by 12″ high by 6″ deep
